Products, Stock & Ratings
Add products in four guided steps, manage the global catalogue, watch stock across every store and moderate customer ratings.
The admin panel holds the global catalogue. Stores can add products themselves, or pick products from this catalogue and set their own price and stock: see Store App: Products & Staff.
Manage products#
Open CatalogProductsManage Products.
- 1Add a product.
- 2Search and filter by category, brand and status.
- 3Each card: price, variants, stock, channel and store.
- 4Edit, view, active switch and delete.
Add a product in four steps#
Click + Add Product. A guided form walks you through four steps. Save as Draft keeps your work at any step.
- 1The four steps: Category, Product Details, Variants, Review.
- 2Add a category or attribute without leaving the form.
- 3Pick the main category…
- 4…then the sub-category.
- 5Tick the attributes and values this product comes in.
- 6Save as Draft or go Next.
Category#
Pick the main category and sub-category. The category's attributes appear: tick the ones this product uses and pick the values, for example Age Group: 0–6 Months, 6–12 Months. Each combination becomes a variant.
Product details#
Name, short description and full description in every language, brand, images and video, sales channel (Quick, eCommerce or both), returnable or not, cash on delivery allowed, and the tax category.
Variants#
For every variant: price, MRP (the crossed-out price), stock, SKU and a low-stock alert level. Set a value for all variants at once with Set for all variants, or Generate SKUs automatically.
Review#
Check everything on one page, edit any step, then publish. The product appears in the apps of the zones its stores serve.
Product details page#
Click a product to see its pictures, price per variant, stock, which stores sell it, its channels and its reviews.
Stock management#
Open CatalogStock Management. The Overview tab shows products in stock, out of stock and low on stock, with a snapshot per category. Inventory lists every variant with its stock per store; Alerts lists what is running out.
Back-in-stock alerts
Customers can tap Notify me on an out-of-stock product. When stock comes back, Zipkart sends them a push notification automatically. See who is waiting in CustomersStock Alerts.
Ratings & reviews#
Open CatalogProductsProduct Ratings to read the stars, comments and photos customers left after delivery, and hide a review if needed. Stores can reply from their app.
