Do all apps use one Firebase project?
Yes. The customer app and website, the store app and panel, the delivery boy app and the admin panel all share one Firebase project.
Which Firebase plan do I need, and what does it cost?
The Blaze plan (pay as you go). Cloud Functions, Storage and phone sign-in do not run on the free Spark plan. Blaze still includes Firebase's free monthly usage, and a small shop often stays close to it. See Third-Party Services & Costs.
Do I have to edit the database by hand?
No. The setup tool imports everything Zipkart needs, and every setting, text, banner and product is managed in the admin panel.
Can I run only Quick Commerce or only eCommerce?
Yes. Switch the other one off in Services & delivery. Every app follows the switch.
Do I need Google Maps?
No. Free OpenStreetMap works out of the box. Choose Google Maps only if you want it: Maps & API key.
Which payment gateways are included?
Cash on Delivery, Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Cashfree, PhonePe, Midtrans, Flutterwave, Xendit and Mercado Pago, plus the Zipkart wallet. Secret keys stay on the server.
Is Zipkart a multi-vendor marketplace?
Zipkart is one brand with many stores. You own the catalogue and create each store and its login in the admin panel; there is no public seller sign-up. Each store sets its own prices and stock and earns per order after your commission.
Can I add more languages?
Yes, any number, including right-to-left languages, from Languages. No rebuild needed.
Do I need a Mac?
Only for the iPhone apps. Android, the websites and the backend can be built on Windows, macOS or Linux.
Can someone change prices or wallet balances from an app?
No. Prices, payments, refunds, wallets, stock and rider dispatch are worked out in Cloud Functions, and the Firestore rules deny everything else.
Can I change the app colours and logo without rebuilding?
Yes. Logos, colours, fonts and titles come from Branding. Only the phone's home-screen name and icon need a build: App name & icon.
